a) a) A game is a contract ranging from nine to eleven tricks depending on the suit it is played in

    Notrump game: level 3 (9 tricks)

    Major game (spades and hearts): level 4 (10 tricks)

    Minor game (diamonds and clubs): level 5 (11 tricks)

b) A slam is a contract ranging from twelve to thirteen tricks no matter the suit it is played in

    Small slam: level 6 (12 tricks)

    Grand slam: level 7 (13 tricks)

    Bonuses are awarded for games and slams

c) A contract lower than game is called a partial

d) Scoring rules vary according to a combination of factors:

    - type of contract (partial, game or slam)
    - contracts made (bonuses)
    - contracts surpassed (overtricks)
    - contracts set (undertricks)
    - contracts penalised (doubled or undoubled)
    - games already made (vulnerable or not vulnerable)
    - type of match (rubber, duplicate, tournaments)
