West leads the club king.
East wins with the ace and returns the spade seven.
Plan the play?

Win the spade shift with the ace in the closed hand.
Pull three rounds of trumps and lead the diamond king.
If West refuses to win his ace, concede a club and a spade for ten tricks.
If West wins his ace, he can cash another club for the last trick of the defense. You can win any return, enter dummy with the spade king and discard your losing spade on dummy's diamond queen.

If you win the spade shift in dummy with the king at trick two, you will lack a crucial entry to reach the North hand and play the diamond queen. If you attempt to keep an entry by pulling only two rounds of trumps, West will cover the diamond king with his ace and return a spade ruffed by East with his last trump.
